Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what we do with the details you give us and which cookies our website uses. “We” means Your Choice Locksmiths, 12 Hazelwood House, 4 Brunswick Road, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 4DQ. If you have any questions, email [email protected] or call 07443 773 773.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us when you call, text, WhatsApp or email us, or use the contact form, call-back form or chat assistant on this website. That is usually:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the address or area where you need us
- details of the job, and any photos you send us
We do not ask for payment card details on this website.
How we use it
We use your details to:
- reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
- send an engineer and carry out the work
- keep records of the work for tax, insurance and warranty purposes
- stop spam and abuse of our forms
We use your details because you have asked us for a quote or a service, and because we have a legitimate interest in running our business and keeping proper records. We do not sell your details and we do not send marketing messages.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with:
- the engineer who carries out your job
- the companies that host our website and run our email and enquiry systems, who can only use your details on our behalf
- Google, for analytics and advertising measurement, but only if you allow those cookies (see below)
- the police, insurers or other authorities where the law requires it
If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own privacy policy also applies. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a job are deleted within 2 years. Records of work we carry out are kept for 6 years, as required for tax and insurance.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the details we hold about you
- correct details that are wrong
- delete your details, where we do not need to keep them by law
- stop or limit how we use them
Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We only use optional cookies if you say yes when you first visit our website.
Always on. These are needed for the website to work and do not track you:
- cookie-consent-v1: remembers your cookie choices. It is kept in your browser’s local storage until you clear it.
- Cloudflare: our hosting provider uses security checks to protect our forms from spam and to keep the website running. It also counts visits without using cookies.
Analytics (optional). Google Analytics shows us which pages people visit and how they use the website. It sets the cookies _ga and ga*, which last up to 2 years.
Advertising (optional). Google Ads tells us which of our adverts lead to calls and enquiries. It sets cookies such as _gcl_au, which last up to 90 days. We do not use your visit to show you personalised adverts.
Changing your choices
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if anything changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
